2005-2006 School Year We celebrate Dr. Martin Luther Kings birthday with a balloon launch.
On March 29th 2006, Adams students welcomed some ladies from the Wichita State Women's Basketball Team. They came to encourage the Intermediate students to do their best on the State Assessments! The ladies talked with students about "showing what they know" on the assessments as well as thinking about college afer high school. They gave away Shocker Basketballs and even took time to autograph them.
On March 31, 2006, Adams held its 3rd quarter Super Star Student Assembly. Each quarter, the Super Star Student Committee coordinate an assembly to honor students who go above and beyond what is expected of them. The students also have to exhibit certain character traits. The student's teacher reads a letter that has been written about their "surprise" Super Star Student and then as an additional surprise, the student's parents come and greet them in front of the student body. It's a fun and teary time!!! The character traits for the 3rd quarter were compassion and fairness. Congratulations to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarter Super Star Students!!
